Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan hopes to begin his search for a new striker following the exit of striker Anelka. Bellamy, Camara and the Anderlecht striker Mbo Mpenza have already been linked with replacing Anelka at Eastlands.

Anderlecht announced that they didn't hear anything from Manchester City yet, but the Belgian champions don't want to let the striker go anyway.

According to the Daily Mirror, also Southampton are interested in Mpenza. In a reaction on this news, manager Van Holsbeeck said both clubs already talked, but that a transfer is not negociable.
