TRANSFERS According to the major Portuguese sports newspaper A Bola, Anderlecht are showing interest in Florentino Luis from Benfica. Florentino is a 21-year-old central midfielder who was in the starting line-up for Portugal in the European Championship final for U21 at the beginning of June.

In February 2019, Florentino made his debut in the first team of Benfica. In one and a half season he played 23 times in the league and Europe. Last season Benfica loaned the youth product to AS Monaco to gain experience. With only two placesin the starting eleven and seven substitutions, that was not a success.

Florentino has to report to Benfica again on Monday, but again a season without many playing minutes threatens. A new loan seems appropriate, especially because Benfica also wants to get Steven Nzonzi from AS Roma. Anderlecht, Galatasaray and various clubs from the Spanish first and second division are showing interest, A Bola reports. Some proposals are with and others without a purchase option.

Florentino still has a contract with Benfica until 2024. His market value was 20 million euros a year ago, now it is half.
