Cissé and Anderlecht: don't believe it!

TRANSFERS Let us anticipate: there is no sign at all that Anderlecht is currently interested in Papiss Cissé. Still, we wouldn't be suprised if we read rumors about a transfer of the 35-year-old striker to Anderlecht.

Cissé enjoyed interest from Anderlecht last summer, but Alanyaspor did not let him go then. In a conversation with Ebène Sports, Cissé tells what he would do if Anderlecht knock again this summer. "Then I would open the door", he says. "I could share my experience and score goals. Besides, I would be closer to my family. They live in Manchester."

"Two weeks ago I passed by in Brussels. My brother-in-law and son said it would be okay if I could sign here."

But it is not nearly that far. Cissé does not fit the profile that Anderlecht and Kompany are looking for as third striker. Moreover, the German Lukas Nmecha is about to fill this vacancy.
