YOUTH Anderlecht already extended the contracts of four of its youngsters this summer, normally three more will follow. According to sports director Peter Verbeke, the talks are going on with Anouar Ait El Hadj (photo), Jeremy Doku and Yari Verschaeren. "The talks are going well," he says.
Verbeke does point out that the youngsters do not receive huge amounts. "In the past, the club paid crazy amounts, so some boys had high expectations. We can no longer afford that. So we will enter into a dialogue with them about this," the newspapers say.
Verbeke points out that Anderlecht can offer playing minutes and a framework. "There is more money to be collected abroad, but these things are not available."
Amuzu, Colassin, Kana and Sardella have already signed a longer contract earlier.
