How are things with... Alexandru Chipciu?

INJURIES Anderlecht has sent a number of players on loan again this season. Now that most competitions are halfway, it's time to take a look at their situation. Today: Alexandru Chipciu.

Past
Chipciu came to Anderlecht in the summer of 2016 for three million euros. He was probably the player with the most Weiler DNA.

In the champion year, Chipciu accounted for six goals and thirteen assists. Last year, in the months under Weiler, he did not go further than one assist and disappeared completely out of the picture under Hein Vanhaezebrouck.

This season

This summer, Chipciu joined his compatriot Nicolae Stanciu at Sparta Prague. Although Anderlecht wanted to sell him, it eventually had to agree with a loan and a purchase option.
With the Czechs Chipciu has a place in the starting eleven as right back. He scored one goal and gave two assists. Stanciu is at four goals and seven assists.

Future

In November HLN wrote that Sparta would like to lift the option of two million euros. He seems to be the only one of the five loaned players in the mid-season, on whom the option will be lifted.*

Two million euros, however, would make Chipciu the fourth-most expensive transfer from club history. A right back who at the end of the season is already thirty and only one year under contract with a club that no longer needs him. First see and then believe. What do you think?
