Werder Bremen will come to Anderlecht for the Champions League on Wednesday after a 0 out of 6 in the Bundesliga. The German champion lost with 2-1 against Mainz Saturday.

"I will have to wake up my players the oncoming days", said Schaaf after the match. "We will have to play better against Anderlecht. Otherwise, we don't have a single chance. We will have to play strong until the last minute in Anderlecht. We didn't do that in Mainz, and we saw the result."

Schaaf seems to be quite confident, but Klaus Allofs, director of Bremen, doesn't hide he is afraid. "Our players were thinking about the next match after the 0-1, and they weren't concentrated. If we play like this, we will have to change our ambitions. No, I'm not confident about the match against Anderlecht", he said.

Wednesday, Bremen will have to play without Frank Fahrenhorst (who would play with a mask after his nose fracture, but now caught an ankle injury), Ümit Davala, Daniel Jenssen, Gustavo Neri and Daniel Stier. Pekka Lagerblom (knee) is uncertain.
