TRANSFERS According to the Croatian Novilist, Dario Zuparic is on his way to Anderlecht. The 26-year-old central defender plays for Rijeka and is currently already in Belgium to take his medical tests.

Rijeka hired Zuparic the last year and a half from Pescara and took him over for 800,000 euros in June. Anderlecht would now pay two to three times that amount. Zuparic missed training at Rijeka yesterday. Apparently because he is already in Belgium and is currently doring medical tests.

Zuparic is a two-footed central defender who can also play as a defensive midfielder. In the summer of 2013 he exchanged Cibalia for Pescara in the Serie B. In three seasons he collected 83 places in the starting eleven. When Pescara promoted to Serie A, he lost his place and was loaned to Rijeka after half a year.

At Rijeka, Zuparic played 31 games last season from the first to the last minute. He scored once and got six yellow and two red cards. This season he played all five games completely and scored once.

Earlier yesterday, manager Luc Devroe said he wants to complete a few transfers within 48 hours. Bubacarr Sanneh and Prince-Désir Gouano are difficult cases, so he also had other players as an option, he said.
