YOUTH Yesterday, we saw an other youth player on the training pitch with the first team: 16-year-old defender Killian Sardella. Sardella is currently impressing at Anderlecht's youth. The player is already marked with the big European teams, but might well be the next to break through at Anderlecht's first team. We briefly introduce him.

Sardella has Congolese Italian roots and started his career in Wemmel before joining FC Brussels and later also RSC Anderlecht. As a 16 year old defender, he already impresses. He is especially known for speedy advancement with the ball at the foot and always looking for the football solution. He also made huge progress last season in the air. In addition, Sardella reads the game like no other, which should not be a surprise as he arrived in Anderlecht in 2011 as a central midfielder (who was now been retrained as central defender). Finally, he is also perfectly two-footed.

Sardella is also active as an international player. Since the U15 he has been selected regularly. Recently he was active with the U17 at the European championship.

Sardella recently signed a professional contract with RSC Anderlecht. He was part of the eleven players that Marc Coucke could bind to Purple-White for a longer period. Despite the great foreign interest, the sixteen-year-old talent decided to stay with Anderlecht and quietly expand his career. This gives him the chance to maybe also knock on the door of the first team. Sardella is already a player to keep an eye on...
