With Daniel Van Buyten not coming to Anderlecht, the Mauves will have to search for another defender to reinforce the team. Besnik Hasi already said that it "could be a Belgian playing abroad". Who could it be?

Filip Daems is 35 years old and has a lot of experience playing for Borussia Monchengladbach. Seen his age, he can leave for about 1 million. But he's more a left back than a central defender. And on the left back position coach Hasi can choose out of Deschacht and N'Sakala.

Dedryck Boyata is 23 years old. He's currently active for Manchester City and can leave for 1.5 million. He can also play on the right back and forms an alternative for Anthony Vanden Borre. His salary demands will be high though.

Jan Wuytens plays for AZ Alkmaar and is 29 years old. He probably cost around 2 million and played for Anderlecht before. He has a lot of experience in the Dutch highest division.

Timothy Derijck is another ex-Anderlecht player. He is currently active for PSV and is 27 years old. His market value is around 600.000 euro. Yet last season he didn't play many games with the first team and was even loaned to FC Utrecht. It's uncertain whether he's really better than Anderlecht youngsters Leander Dendoncker or Michaël Heylen.

Mattias Bossaerts played for Anderlecht's youth teams but left for Manchester City. He's 18 years old and can probably only be loaned by Anderlecht. He's a big talent, but lacks experience.
