Cheikhou Kouyaté is on his way to West Ham. Manager Van Holsbeeck received a higher bid from Valencia this weekend (more than 7,5 million), but the Spanish club is unable to present a bank guarantee.

Anderlecht already had bad experiences with Spanish clubs in the past. Santander and Espanyol were never able to pay the requested transfer fee (for Tchité and Pareja). It even went that far that Anderlecht requested assistance from the UEFA to eventually receive the money. So without a bank willing to back up Valencia's bid, there won't be any transfer to the Spanish club.

According to the Flemish newspapers, Kouyaté is currently on his way to London where he'll undergo medical tests today. Later this week, he'll sign a four year deal for the English club.

20% of the transfer fee will go to Kouyaté's managers. That means that Anderlecht will receive about 6 million euro themselves.
