Anderlecht ended the regular competition and their first match under coach Hasi with decent football and a clear 4-0 victory. The Mauves start the play-offs with 5 points behind Standard (10 points divided by two).

Anderlecht started in a 4-4-2 formation with Pollet and Mitrovic in the starting line-up. Gillet, playing weak the last few weeks, started on the bench. Tielemans took his place next to Kljestan on the midfield.

Anderlecht dominated the first half and even created several chances. Now and then, the Mauves played good football and there was a lot of pressure on the ball due to the offensive football. Mitrovic opened the score after 9 minutes with a penalty kick after Luissint had brought down Pollet in the box. After 30 minutes Najar doubled the head with a header.

In the second half, Anderlecht controlled the match and Oostende slowly moved forward. Especially Canesin was dangerous for the visitors. Eventually the home side decided to increase the pace again and Mitrovic scored his second of the evening after 77 minutes. After 83 minutes, Praet kept the visiting goalkeeper busy. He opened for Deschacht who put the ball against the net with a hard shot: 4-0
