Yesterday evening, Anderlecht played their fifth league of the season against Charleroi. There is one thing for sure: Anderlecht knows how to score. They already scored 18 goals in five matches.
Coach John van den Brom gave a new opportunity to Dennis Praet and Luka Milivojevic. Newcomer N'Sakala and Tielemans started on the bench. Charleroi couldn't count on the injured player Martos, but Kaya joined the team again after his injury.
Anderlecht started the match very well with a lot of pressure towards the goals of Charleroi. They scored the opening goal aftre twenty minutes. Acheampong wanted to pass the Kljestan, but the ball went to Suarez. He surprised Charleroi's goal keeper Mandanda with a low shot and scored the 1-0. A few minutes later, former Anderlecht player Mohamed Daf made the equalizer: 1-1.
But Charleroi couldn't enjoy the equalizer for a long time, because Acheampong showed his speed once again. He dribbled some players and hit the post, the ball ended up with Suarez who scored the 2-1.
Anderlecht started the second half even better than the first half. Suarez scored again after only two minutes playing. He scored a hattrick, although he didn't score the three goals in the same half. Both goal keepers saw a lot of balls passing their goal, because Charleroi scored the 3-2 a few minutes later. Now it was Pollet who scored.
But also now Charleroi couldn't celebrate their goal for a long time, because Bram Nuytinck scored the 4-2 some minutes later. But Anderlecht didn't stop scoring. Luka Milivojevic had set up a nice action with Massimo Bruno who scored the 5-2.
Ten minutes before the final whistle, coach John van den Brom made three changes at the same time. Suarez, Acheampong and Kouyaté could rest, while Cyriac, Najar and Mbemba could enter the pitch.
Suarez and especially Acheampong could count on a big applause and standing ovation.
Anderlecht didn't score anymore, but we can happy with the result.
