TRANSFERS The next game in the Belgian league will take place in one month. What can we expect in the meantime? What do we know about the upcoming transfers right now?

Goalkeeper Davy Roef started the season but was replaced by Frank Boeckx after repeated mistakes. Boeckx makes a solid impression, but will the club take the risk to continue the rest of the season with him? Matz Sels of Newcastle United could be an option. The keeper is currently on the bench and might even become third on the picking order. Though up until now, he's not interested in a return to Belgium.

Other defensive reinforcements will be necessary. With everyone recovered from injury, the two back positions are well covered (Obradovic and Acheampong for the left back; Najar and Appiah for the right back). But the centre of the defence may be problematic. Kara has been performing at high level, but Nuytinck now and then makes a mistake. And with Deschacht being in dispute with trainer Weiler, only Spajic is left as a back-up. Christian Kabasele of Watford could be an option. The Belgian international would favour a departure from England and knows Kara from his Genk period. The two might make a solid central axis.

Looking at the offensive compartiment, reinforcements are necessary as well. Teodorczyk is the only striker at the moment with Harbaoui fallen out of grace (and likely leaving this winter). Marcos Acuna of Racing Club (in Argentina) has already been scouted. He has scored 5 goals in 12 games up until now. But also Marseille, Milan, Torino, Malaga and Gijon are interested. Acuna has played one game for the Argentine national team (against Colombia) and is worth around 2,3 million euro.
Another option could be Mikael Ishak, a Swedish striker currently playing for Randers in Denmark. The striker is keen on finding a better league than the Danish and is interested in joining Anderlecht and the Belgian League. Zulte Waregem is also showing interest in the player.
