Proto no Red Devil, Gillet is

Guillaume Gillet is once again the only player from Anderlecht being selected by national coach Marc Wilmots. So, Silvio Proto isn't the new third keeper of the national team. Mar Wilmots chooses Koen Casteels over Proto.


The choice to select Koen Casteels (from the German team Hoffenheim) is logic. He is the goal keeper of the national team U21 and first keeper of Hoffenheim in the German Bundesliga. Proto told in the past that he wasn't very fond of a role as a third keeper in the national team. However, he confirmed to be available for the national team recently.

Thomas Kaminski, the other goal keeper of Anderlecht, expressed his dream to be selected as a third keeper for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil. But he doesn't make a good chance, because he's only the second keeper in Anderlecht.

The national team plays a friendly game next week Wednesday against France.
