It's official: Anthony Vanden Borre will stay in Anderlecht. The defender signed a two year deal this morning. Vanden Borre is pleased: "Anderlecht offered me a chance to relaunch my career in January. I am glad I can stay now."

The defender made it to Anderlecht's first team after having received his training in Anderlecht. But in 2007 he left for Fiorentina. Eventually he also played for Genoa and Portsmouth to end up in Racing Genk. Genk did not extend his contract and the 25 year old player returned to Anderlecht in January. Now he signed a new contract until 2015.
