Last week, Anderlecht announced De Zeeuw won't be bought from Spartak Moscow. But slowly, this opinion is changing. The Dutchman scored the decisive goal against Genk and kept Anderlecht on title course.

Afterwards, coach Van den Brom announced he would also like to see his compatriot in Brussels next year. So manager Van Holsbeeck started working on a plan to keep De Zeeuw, without having to pay a high transfer fee or his exorbitant salary.

Extending the current loan would be an interesting option. That way, Anderlecht's investment can remain small, De Zeeuw can keep his salary and Van den Brom can have his way. Most likely, this extended deal would include a new option to buy the player. In that case, the Belgian club can easily bring the midfielder to Belgium permanently if he performs well.
