Armenteros about to sign for Anderlecht

Samuel Armenteros, a Swedish striker of 22 years old, will leave his club Heracles Almelo and join Anderlecht in June. The last contractual details will be arranged in the next few days. The he will sign a 3 year deal.


Armenteros: "I am going to a great club. They play for the title each year and always participate the Champions League or Europa League. The club has a good policy and infrastructure. I am very pleased with this transfer. It's an unique opportunity to grow."

Armenteros, of Cuban descent, left Husqvarna in Sweden in 2006 to join Heerenveen. He wasn't able to reach the first team though. Therefore he joined Heracles where he scored 26 goals in 99 games. The player was at the end of his contract in Holland and joins Anderlecht for free.

On Friday, Armenteros will play with Heracles against Anderlecht in a friendly match.
