Wasilewski: "Never spoke to Witsel again"

On 6 November, Anderlecht will be playing Zenit at home in the Champions League. Which means the return of Axel Witsel, ex Standard Liege, now playing for Zenit, to the Anderlecht stadium. A special game for Marcin Wasilewski.


It was after the game Poland - Montenegro (2-2) that a few journalists managed to get a reaction out of Marcin, concerning the return of Axel Witsel to Brussels.

After the horrible takcle and the even more horrifying consequences for Wasilewski, the two players haven't spoken to each other since the incident occurred in 2009. However, Wasilewski showed no signs of ongoing anger towards Witsel.

"I haven't really thought about it", he says, "especially not when I'm with the national team. I've never spoken to Witsel about what happened either. If I'll shake his hand before the game? We'll see..."
