Marecek: "Prove myself to the new coach"

At the end of last season, Lukas Marecek's future with Anderlecht didn't seem too bright. The possibility of him being loaned to another club was most likely. After the first week of training, things are looking up.


"I'm waiting to see if I'll be selected to go on training camp in Austria, before I make any decisions regarding a loan."

Marecek made quite an impression on both coach and spectators, this Saturday during the first friendly game of the season. He's now hoping that with Ariel Jacobs leaving, he'll get a fresh start and a chance to prove himself. "I'm glad there's a new coach," says Lukas. "One day I was playing Europa League, the next I was on the bench, no explanation."
