On the last day of the transfer period, Wolfsburg would have made a ten million offer on Matias Suarez. But Anderlecht refused. This says La Dernière Heure.

Wolfsburg had lots of money after Edin Dzeko left to Manchester City for 35 million Euros.

Manager Herman Van Holsbeeck explains without précising this deal concerned Suarez. “On the last day of the transfer period I received a phone call of a club that wanted to offer 10 million Euros for one of our players. But we had just sold Lukaku and Legear and that was enough. If our goal is making profit we would have sold Biglia, Juhasz,… But then we don’t have a team anymore.”

There’s only one question left: will Van Holsbeeck still be able to say no at the end of the summer, of even in January.
