Van Damme wants to leave Anderlecht

Defender Jelle Van Damme has told the board of Anderlecht he would like to play somewhere else. “I need a new challenge,” the 25-year old midfielder says in Het Laatste Nieuws.

"I would like to return to the Premier League, but I’d prefer to play European games. If possible the Champions League. To keep my options open I asked the club to let me on the bench against Sivasspor. Ariël Jacobs already knows this,” says Van Damme.

However, this isn’t the right time to make this decision because tomorrow Anderlecht plays the important game against Sivasspor for a place in the Champions League.
