With the end in sight, it’s getting better at Anderlecht. “During the game against Lokeren everyone realised the title is our last goal,” Gillet says in Het Laatste Nieuws.

"If we won’t win the title, we’ll have played one of our worst seasons. We don’t want to be remembered as a team that won nothing. Everyone know we have to take this chance. We go to each game as worriers,” he says.

Anderlecht and Standard are still side by side, but according to Gillet that doesn’t bring along extra stress. Of course we’re busy thinking about it, but if you’re scared or stressed, you’ll start a game just like against Brugge and Westerlo. If we win the title we might get the chance to be qualified for the Champions League. Then I think most players will stay, and reinforcements will arrive as well. Then we’ll won’t have to go to Russia or Slovakia, so we can prepare the season calmly.

Gillet hasn’t been playing on his position since the winter break. “Against Cercle was the last time I played on my position, in a triangle in the centre. It’s also the last time I scored. I need about two, three games to get used to it. Maybe it’s good for the team when I play on my new position. I can play everywhere, the coach decides. I’ve played every game, than you can’t complain.”
