At Cercle Brugge they are mad and disappointed in Kanu as the Brazilian wasn’t even part of the team yesterday. “It’s his own fault,” says the manager Glen De Boeck, “he’s been late five times now.”

“He’s had a great welcoming, but right now he’s making it hard for himself,” says De Boeck in Het Laatste Nieuws. “It’s very important to stop this immediately. I heard similar things happened at Anderlecht. Luckily they are following him as well.”

Glen De Boeck is willing to forgive his striker, but he has to change. “It will all depend on him when he will be part of the team again. He’ll have to stop lying and change his attitude. The team will have to accept him again as well.”

The reason why Kanu went to Brugge was to get some play time before returning to Anderlecht in June.
