"Not even close to a deal with Asare"

Asare announced that he wants to leave Mechelen for Anderlecht and asked for a talk with the direction board of his club. Though, it seems that Mechelen will ask more than the one million euro that was first put on Asare's head.


"The amount of one million is outrageous", said KV Mechelen chairman Timmermans. "And by the way, we are not negotiating with any club at this time."

Asare himself understands that the clubs wants more than one million: "I'll have a discussion about my future with the direction board. But I will not force them to sell me. Though Anderlecht would be the perfect career step for me."

Also manager Van Holsbeeck stressed that he's far from reaching deal. "We think he's a good player and that's the only thing that I want to say about it", he said.
