Anderlecht to the Heysel after all?

The club still has no solution for the stadium problem. An extention of the current stadium seems politically difficult. The construction of a new one is too expensive and there are still no permits yet.


"There is a possibility that the Heysel Stadium will make place for a modern stadium. If that is the case, we want to play in it", says Van Holsbeeck in the media. Though moving to the Heysel, didn't seem to be an option for Anderlecht, because of the running track around the pitch. But the plans for a ne stadium involve a high-tech option to cover up the track during football games. "It will be a bit like in the Stade de France", Van Holsbeeck adds.
