Antheunis has selected 20 Red Devils for the friendly match against Turkey in the King Boudewijnstadium next Wednesday. With goalkeeper Peersman and defender Vanden Borre, two new players were called up.

Sven Vermant was also called up, for the first time ever by Antheunis. The Schalke-player plays for the first time since the WC 2002 in Japan and South Korea. Also Geert De Vlieger, Wesley Sonck and Bart Goor are back in the national team after a time of absence. In comparison with the friendly match against Germany of 27 March, goalkeepers Erwin Lemmens and Frédéric Herpoel, Gençlerbirligi-player Filip Daems and Olivier De Cock of Club Bruges are missing. Emile Mpenza wasn't selected, he asked that himself. Timmy Simons, who missed the previous match because of the birth of his first child, also returns.

Selection: Geert De Vlieger, Tristan Peersman; Eric Deflandre, Olivier Deschacht, Vincent Kompany, Timmy Simons, Jelle Van Damme, Anthony Vandenborre, Didier Dheedene; Walter Baseggio, Philippe Clement, Mbo Mpenza, Roberto Bisconti, Jonathan Blondel, Gregory Dufer, Sven Vermant, Bart Goor; Thomas Buffel, Wesley Sonck and Luigi Pieroni.
