From 2012 the 6+5 rule starts. That means that clubs have to put up six players out of their own country in their original team. The new rule will be introduced gradually.

From 2010 onwards, each club already has to put up 4 players out of their own country in the basic eleven.

Should the rule already be active now, Anderlecht should be in trouble. Looked at the starting team last season, 8 players came from abroad. This means there were only 3 Belgians on the field. Those three Belgians were Gillet, Deschacht and Van Damme.
