RSC Anderlecht 3-2 AA Gent

Anderlecht has won the Cup after a great final. Gent managed to take the lead twice during the game, but Anderlecht managed to equalise each time, and made the winner after a great goal by Gillet.

AA Gent was the first team to score a goal after 6 minutes. Fadige with a nice pass to Thijs, who found Ruiz on the left side. The Gent-player missed his shot, but Foley managed to tap the bal against the net on the second post.Anderlecht responded immideatly. 30 seconds after the kick-off, Polak slided the ball past Jorgacevic. Both teams created some half chances. Gillet hit the post on a throw in from Wasilewski, and Frutos was pulled down by De Roeck in the penalty-area, but referee Gumieny didn't give a penalty.

After 35 minutes, Olufade dribbeld Polak and Deschacht just outside the box. His shot on goal deflected on Van Damme and flew past Silvio Proto.

Anderlecht had 1 good chance before the break, but Vlcek his shot was saved by the Gent-goalie.

After the break, Chatelle came in place of Vlcek but it was Gent that came close to the 3-1, Olufade's volley hitting the post. Coach Jacobs responded, and brought Ahmed Hassan for Wasilewski.

Not long after that, Chatelle his cross found Boussoufa, who headed the ball in the far corner.
A couple of minutes later, Hassan found Boussoufa, who heeled the ball to Gillet, who kicked the ball in the bottom-corner.

Anderlecht created some good chances to score more goals, Hassan twice came close to score his last Anderlecht-goal, but missed.

After 95 minutes, the referee called the game to an end. Anderlecht has won his first cup in 14 years after a great match.
