Red Devils Beaten by Morocco 1-4

The North African nation defeated the Belgian national football team 4-1 in the Stade Roi Baudouin. Gillet and Pieroni were the only Anderlecht players in the Belgian line-up whilst Boussoufa was a substitute for Morocco.


It was a match to forget for both Gillet and Pieroni, and indeed for the whole Belgian team. Granted Rene Vandereycken is experimenting in the line-up with a host of changes at half-time, however by 45 minutes the Belgians were already 0-2 down.



Mbark Boussoufa had a more successful international return, coming in the 38th minute and providing the assist for the 4th Moroccan goal.
