Ladinszky, Attila Stats

"Un, deux, trois: Attila est là!" That's what people sang every week in the season of 1973-1974. A few months earlier, Anderlecht brought Attila Ladinszky (born on September 13, 1949) in a hurry to Anderlecht. Before he had been playing for Feyenoord Rotterdam, but now he had to help Anderlecht win the Cup final against Standard de Liège. And so he did: he scored the only two goals of the game. When he became Belgium's best striker in 1974 with 22 goals, he was already the favourite of the public.

With Rob Rensenbrink and André Denul as his fellow strikers, he was one of the best players in a team coached by trainer Urbain Braems. But Ladinszky didn't stay long. His drinking problem ended the romance between two sides earlier than expected. Though some sources claim that his bad prestations are due to a car accident. Exit Ladinszky after two season. He was sold to Betis Sevilla. Remarkably was that he had no native country. This meant that he was not allowed to enter communist countries. Anderlecht left him in Brussels when they faced Spartak Trnava (4-2 defeat). After his carreer, he opened a restaurant on the Fernand Cocq, in Elsene (Brussels).
