Qualification will boost the team, knows Jacobs

There were nothing but happy faces after last night's game against Bordeaux. Coach Ariël Jacobs believes the qualification will give his team a boost. "Beating Bordeaux was unhoped-for," said Jacobs.


"But the scenario went according to plan," continues the Anderlecht coach. "We deserve this qualification without doubt. This performance will boost the team and the club, seeing we've come from a long way."

Anderlecht will now face top contenders Bayern Munich in the eight-finals, but Jacobs remains sober. "Bayern? First we'll have to deal with Zulte Waregem in the league. That game will be tougher than the one against Bordeaux," assures Jacobs.

"We've drank some Bordeaux wine already, now I've got a taste for some beer," concluded the elated coach.
