Recruit Pieroni Cup-Tied for the UEFA Cup

The loan acquisition from RC Lens, Luigi Pieroni, will be unavailable for the UEFA Cup Round of 32 clash against Girondins de Bordeaux as his club took part in the second-tier European competition.


This is despite the French side only making the first round of the UEFA Cup, and Pieroni not being part of the first team.
Therefore two of Anderlecht's forward reinforcements (Pieroni and Vlcek) will be restricted to Belgian matches.
