- Het Nieuwsblad + Het Volk address an open letter to chairman Roger Vanden Stock. "Your club is not evolving. You are messing around with the future of Anderlecht and the whole Belgian league.

Everybody has to question himself now, you said yesterday. Why don't you start with yourself?"
- De Standaard: "Anderlecht are still far away from the European top. Only some major changes in the policy can save the club. RSCA miss the intelligence of Constant Vanden Stock!"
- Gazet van Antwerpen: Welcome back on earth, mister president." "Roger Vanden Stock never said to be an ace at his job. Worse is, that he does nothing to involve real soccer-know-alls in the policy. (...) The trainer is doing everything he can to change something."
- Het Belang van Limburg: "Panathinaikos were playing with 9 Greeks. Where are our own youth players?"
- Het Laatste Nieuws: "How low can you go before going into a crisis?"
- Le Soir: "Does a club without players like Simons, Sonck, Blondel or Buffel have a future?"- De Morgen: "I already survived many storms and I will survive this one too, said trainer Hugo Broos.
Chairman Roger Vanden Stock said the following: "Our trainer will stay. If we fire him over a 3-0 defeat against a good team, we ought to fire everybody. Each one of us has to look in the mirror now." Verschueren agreed with it.
