National coach Aimé Antheunis had a big surprise when he revealed the names for the match of the B-team of the Red Devils in and against Nancy on 16 March. Anthony Vandenborre is selected.
Vandenborre is only 16 and that's 4 years younger than the second-youngest player of the squad, Benji De Ceulaer.
Even more, the young defender of Anderlecht is the only player who hasn't played a single match for his team.
Antheunis: "Vandenborre is one of the biggest talents we've got. And because Bruges, Anderlecht, Mouscron and Beveren have a cup match on 17 March, I didn't want to select a key player of them. This was an excellent opportunity to select Vandenborre."
