Simons wins, Aruna ends second

Timmy Simons of Club Brugge was elected as "Professional Footballer of the year". The 26-years old player already won "De Gouden Schoen" (the golden shoe). Simons ended up with 340 points.

Aruna and Jestrovic ended second and third, with 209 and 101 points. 343 professional players from the league voted.
Besides this most important trophee, Simons also won the Fair Play award. The best goalkeeper was Dany Verlinden. The best coach Trond Sollied. Davy de Beule was chosen as "Best Young Professional". Frank De Bleeckere got an award for the best referee in the league, and this for the 4th time in a row.
