Anderlecht did not play in this week's UEFA Cup tie, but it received desirable results as Tottenham beat Aalborg 3-2 and Hapoel Tel-Aviv dusting off poor form and beating Getafe 2-1. Tottenham now top Group G, Anderlecht second.

Aalborg were 1-0 up as early as two minutes, Kasper Risgard made it 2-0. Juande Ramos called in the changes and it paid dividends with Berbatov and Malbranque equalizing. Darren Bent scored the winning goal.

Hapoel, with their caretaker coaches Zivlin and Abuksis, managed to score twice and keep that buffer until injury time when Getafe scored from the spot.

Next week, Tottenham visit Anderlecht in a rematch of the 1984 final. Hapoel have the week off and Getafe visit Aalborg. Should Sporting beat Tottenham and Aalborg lose points, Les Mauves will be assured third place in the group, which would guarantee more UEFA Cup action next year.
