Ex-Anderlecht defender Hannu Tihinen is preparing to face the Belgian national team with his native Finland. The defender moved to FC Zürich in the summer of 2006 and makes his appearance in the UEFA Cup.

Having won the Swiss title last season, the Fin has no reason to regret his move to Zürich. "On a professional level Zürich is a good club. Too bad Anderlecht doesn't play in our championship otherwise it would be perfect. I do miss Belgium and my Belgian friends. I still keep in touch with Juhasz, Mpenza, Frutos, Deschacht and coach Vercauteren."

Tihinen admits still tracking the club for which he appeared four seasons. Particularly Anderlecht's success in the UEFA Cup made him content. "Especially the fact that Serhat is doing well again. I know he went through a difficult period. He's getting back to form." The tall defender is secretly hoping to meet Anderlecht in the UEFA Cup. "Too bad the draw decided otherwise. Perhaps we'll meet in the next round."
