After months of reeducation Nicolas Frutos has made his returned to the Anderlecht squad. "It feels really good to be able to play again." For half a year the striker played while injured. "I risked my future for Anderlecht."

"I had been troubled by that heel injury since December 2006. By continueing to play injured I've made it worse. For half a year I played with practically one leg." The tall striker is an important element in the game of Anderlecht but has shown himself to be prone to injuries. "I'm a normal human being but I'm very tall. Because of this my muscles are different than those of a person with a regular build. I need to pay extra attention to that," says Frutos in Belgian newspaper Le Soir.

Having failed to win any of the last four games in the Belgian league, the club is hoping the presence of the Argentinian will speed up the return to form of the team. "We must face the facts: we're far from our normal level at this point. That's too bad because we ended last season with a good play and a title."

Still the striker is convinced that the team will come back stronger. "In the last two season we had our difficult moments as well. During the winter break we took the time to work out a few kinks. Twice we ended up winning the title."

Frutos took the time to reflect on his personal future as well. "I don't see myself leaving next summer. I feel great in Belgium and the club treats me correctly. Why leave?"
