Anderlecht avoid Bayern and Villareal

Anderlecht will be in the first pot for the draw of the UEFA Cup's group phase. That way, it will avoid teams as Bayern Munchen, Villareal and AZ. Though that doesn't mean the other opponents will be easy to beat.


The draw takes place next Tuesday noon.

Pot 1: Villareal, Bayern Munchen, AZ, Bordeaux, Panathinaikos, Basel, Bordeaux, Leverkusen and ANDERLECHT.

Pot 2: Tottenham, Lokomotiv Moskou, Zenith St-Petersburg, Sparta Praag, AEK Athene, Hamburg, Bolton and Austria Wenen.

Pot 3: Spartak Moskou, Braga, Galatasaray, Getafe, Atletico Madrid, Everton, Fiorentina and Rennes.

Pot 4: Toulouse, Hapoel Tel-Aviv, Rode Ster Belgrado, Dinamo Zagreb, Kopenhagen, Panionios, Nürnberg and Boleslav.

Pot 5: Thessaloniki, Aberdeen, FC Zurich, Larissa, Aalborg, Brann Bergen, Elfsborg and Helsingborg.
