Again Anderlecht failed to hold on to a lead. A disappointing result for Vercauteren and his men. "A 1-0 win would've been an excellent result when you the team's not in top shape," said the coach after the game.

"You can feel that some players are starting to doubt," continues Vercauteren. "We lost control over the game. When you don't succeed in mounting the score, you should at least maintain the score. But we don't seem to succeed in that anymore."

Jelle Van Damme tries to remain optimistic. "We knew that they were strong at set pieces. We should've avoided those. Five minutes before the goal I made a foul as well, but we were lucky not to concede then."

"We lost grip in the second half which played in their advantage. We're having too many ups and downs in our game. We need to get rid of those. But we can still qualify," said Van Damme.

Zitka did not stand a chance when Hofmann curled in a free kick ten minutes before time. "It was difficult to put things right when you concede that late. We were warned on several occassions in the second half. It's a disappointing result. Now we'll have to qualify in Wien."
