Czech midfielder Jan Polak signed a four-year deal with Anderlecht this afternoon. At the press conference he explained why he opted for Anderlecht. "I've chosen to play for the biggest club in Belgium."

"I wanted to have more opportunities to play," said the Czech midfielder. "Soon the team will play the preliminaries for the Champions League and reaching the group stage is the first objective."

Transferring the 26-year-old international proved to be an arduous task. Luckily ex-Anderlecht striker Jan Koller and goalkeeper Daniël Zitka helped to convince their fellow countryman. "Both of them told me nothing but positive things about the club. Daniël promissed to help me adapting," said the newest Anderlecht acquisition.
