Jan Polak passed the medical tests. If everything goes as planned, the midfielder will sign his contract this afternoon. Anderlecht will pay around 3.5 million euro for the midfielder.

"Things have changed. Polak now really wants to go to Anderlecht. He's very proud that the club makes such an effort for him," Nürnberg's manager confirmed.

"He came to me Tuesday night telling me he wanted two days off to negotiate with Anderlecht. Anderlecht's goalkeeper and ex-striker Jan Koller told nothing but positive things about Anderlecht. That really convinced him."

Furthermore, there are several other good midfielders fighting for their place in the team at Nürnberg. Polak fears losing his place in the starting line-up.

Though manager Herman Van Holsbeeck doesn't want to confirm the transfer yet: "Polak didn't sign yet. But we still have one week of time before we need to send our player list to the UEFA."
