Vanden Borre: "Anderlecht chapter now finished"

Anthony Vanden Borre lost its spot in the starting line-up with the arrival of Wasilewski this winter. The talented youngster is exchanging Anderlecht for Fiorentina next season but first he will play with the young Red Devils.


"This European Championship is exactly what I need. It's a chance to play some games again, an ideal preparation for Fiorentina. I'm not here for pleasure."

The last few months it became clear Vanden Borre had no future at Anderlecht. "It was a bitter end, the Anderlecht chapter is now behind me. But I'm not bitter, I don't have any hard feelings. I owe the club a lot and I won't forget that. I hoped for a different ending but that's life," concluded Vanden Borre.
