Chairman Roger Vanden Stock is not pleased with the way things are going concerning the new stadium. "I wanted to renovate the current one, but that wasn't possible," he said.

"Afterwards we wanted to build in Neerpede, but that proposal was also tackled by the politicians. What's wrong with this country? Doesn't the biggest club in Belgium need a decent stadium? Money is no problem, because the financial world wants to invest in modern and multi-functional stadiums. I will be disappointed in our politicians if there's no progress within the next 6 months."
