Anderlecht loses 3-1 in Mons

Anderlecht did not manage to win its last game of the season. It lost 3-1 against Mons and thus ends the season on a sour note. Tchité scored the Anderlecht goal from the penalty spot.


Anderlecht had to miss both Frutos and Hassan. Vercauteren gave Mbokani and Legear a place in the starting line-up. Proto was given preference over Zitka in the goal.

The fans saw an uninspired Anderlecht in the first half and watched Anderlecht conceded two goals before the break. The team tried to set things straight after the half-time break but lacked precision in the finishing. Vercauteren brought Mpenza, Lamah and Baseggio in but they could not change the score.

Only in the last minutes of the game Tchité scored 2-1 from the penalty spot. Mons was not impressed and scored their third goal immediately after. Anderlecht lost its third game of the season.
