Pro Football Player of the Year Award

Next Sunday the Pro Football Player of the Year will be awarded. A number of Anderlecht players have been nominated. Amongst them Mémé Tchité and Ahmed Hassan along with Germinal Beerschot striker Sterchele.


The award will crown the best football player of the past season. The votes are cast by the football players themselves.

Furthermore, Lucas Biglia is nominated in the category Young Pro Football Player. The other nominees are Standard's Defour and Racing Genk's Pocognoli.

Daniël Zitka has been nominated for Goalkeeper of the Year together with Herpoel (AA Ghent) and Bailly (Racing Genk). Zitka is also nominated for the Fairplay award, along with Soetaers and Chatelle of Genk.

Last year Mbark Boussoufa, at the moment contracted for Ghent, won the award.
