Sparta - Anderlecht: 2-1

Anderlecht lost the final against Sparta Prague. The only Anderlecht-goal came from Vincent Kompany. The youth played very well in general, especially in the second half.

In the first minutes Deschacht had some problems, but to a big chance it did not come. In the 3th minute came Anderlecht for the first time before the goal of Prague and received a corner kick. From then on the play was equal, with many chances for both teams.

Anderlecht began to exercise more pressure however the passes didn't arrive well. In the 13th minute came then the pressure of Sparta, but the defense could always bring rescue. Also Prague got a corner kick. In the 15th minute kept producing pressure Sparta, but the goal was cancelled. Briefly on it Anderlecht one had again the chance for a lead, but the keeper saved.
Especially Deschacht played a great match. In the 22th minute, briefly before the 16 meters, Seol was tackled, but the referee did not whistle a free kick. Afterwards Sparta came back, but Deman could defuse the ball. Prague came ever better into the game and Anderlecht played more carefully.
The strikers of the RSCA didn't play good, in contrary to the defence. Then in the 30th minute Prague scored the 1-0. That was actually a durable shot.
In the 34th Minute Anderlecht came in the game again and could nearly equalize the score with a free kick of Deman. Later there were still some chances on both sides, without result. So it remained 1-0 to the break.

At the beginning of the second half time Anderlecht changed: Seol, Tihinen, Vanderhaeghe and Deschacht were replaced by Lagaer, Kompany, Vandenborre and Calencov. The young RSCA team played well along and can exert pressure. To a beautiful action Martens came, but the ball passed. Later Calinkov with the shot, but in vain. The minute after nearly 2-0 for Prague, but Peersman saved. Anderlecht kept searching the balance in an all in all bad play. Then again a corner kick for Anderlecht, but De Boeck missed.
Anderlecht looked for the goal, but Sparta was and remained further dangerously. Vercauteren brought in the 77th minute Martin Kolar for Deman.
