An elated Roger Vanden Stock has said in a televised interview that Ahmed Hassan will stay at Anderlecht. This way the soap about the depart of the Egyptian playmaker finally comes to an end.

The chairman had a meeting with Hassan on sunday afternoon to discuss the matter. Vanden Stock was not eager to give out the details of the conversation.

He did have more praise for Anderlecht goalkeeper Zitka. "A player like him should never leave the club." The chairman added that one or two new players will be contracted. The goal for next season is to achieve the 30th title, which would be an adequate way to celebrate the club's centennial.

Additionally, Vanden Stock would love to see Anderlecht win the Belgian Cup again because "it's been since '94."
