Jestrovic candidate Golden Shoe...next year

If Jestrovic wouldn't have got injured on his knee in August, he surely would be sitting next to Baseggio and Aruna for the Gala of the Golden Shoe in Bruges this evening.

But while the event takes place, Nenad will be on the Canarian Islands trying to come back in to the first team. "I'm a candidate for the first place, but only for the first round of this year", he laughs. "I was in good shape then and I scored 16 times from Januari till May. I expect to be pretty quick in good shape so that I can be a candidate for the trophy next year. I'm not ready yet, but I expect to be at my old level by the end of Februari."

Also Vincent Kompany, who will surely stay for another year in Anderlecht and who is terrific every match, is now already a possible candidate for next year.
