Tonight Anderlecht will face arch rivals Standard. Anderlecht needs a win to maintain their chances for the title. The statistics are in the advantage of the Mauves. The last 20 years Standard has only won three times in Brussels.


Anderlecht coach Franky Vercauteren has vowed to play offensively. "I always try to play offensively, and I hope it will work out against Standard too," said the coach at yesterday's press conference. It remains a mystery if both Frutos, Tchité, Boussoufa and Hassan will appear in the starting line-up, or if Vercauteren will replace one of his attackers for defensive midfielder De Man.
